YOU CAN DEPEND ON THE BIBLE

Yes, you can depend on God’s Word because it is impossible for God to lie (Titus 1:2). Consider also
what Paul wrote in Romans 3:3-4, “For what if some were without faith? shall their want of faith make
of none effect the faithfulness of God? God forbid: yea, let God be found true, but every man a liar...”
Jesus said, “Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth” (John 17:17). He also said, “And ye shall know
the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32).
You can depend on the Bible! It is the most amazing and wonderful book the world has ever known.
Among the millions of books written, the Bible stands unique. Some forty persons participated in writing
it over a period of about 1600 years. Yet the 31,102 verses of the sixty-six books of the Bible contain one
major theme--perfectly harmonious in its content: The story of God’s love for mankind and His will-
ingness to save us.
The Bible is inspired of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17). Peter tells us, “knowing this first, that no prophecy of
scripture is of private interpretation. For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but men spake from
God, being moved by the Holy Spirit” (2 Pet. 1:20-21). The Bible is God speaking to man through man
and it is indestructible (Matt. 24:35).
Where God’s Word is circulated, read and believed, civilization reaches its highest peak and indi-
vidual freedom is fully realized. Read it systematically and carefully. You will feel and know in yourself
the proof of its inspiration. One cannot deny the deep way it influences and changes one’s life--proving
that mere man is not the author of it.
The Bible is God’s message to you. How much do you know about the Bible? Can you answer your
soul’s most anxious question: “What must I do to be saved?” You need to obey the gospel on God’s
terms. He commands faith, repentance, confessing Christ to be the Son of God and being baptized for the
remission of sins (Heb. 11:6; Acts 17:30; Rom. 10:10; Acts 2:38). We stand ready to help you in obey-
ing these simple commands. Anytime. Night or day--just give us a call.
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: The person who looks up to God rarely looks down on people.
Have a great week!
Love ya,
Jesse
